Hours of Operation: Commercial Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Public Hours: Monday to Saturday - 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

General Information
LANDFILL APPROVAL LANDFILL AMENDMENT
Please Note WDML Regional Landfill now charges for mattresses - please refer to the prices above.
Liquid Waste will not be accepted at the West Dried Meat Lake Regional Landfill.
Soil Contaminants
- Soil Contaminants shall be with in concentrations allowed under applicable Federal and Provincial Acts and Regulations and the landfill operations guidelines.
- Soil with moisture content in excess of 30% will not be accepted.
- Chemical analysis is required for all contaminated soils.
Tires - All tires must be sorted and stacked in appropriate areas.
Inert Waste
- Inert waste is defined as non-toxic or non-hazardous material.
- Some acceptable inert material:
- Wood
- Drywall
- Sand or gravel
- Glass
- Ceramic and clay bricks
- Mattresses
- Roofing materials, including:
- shingles
- tar
- plastic vapor barriers
- Plastics, including:
- plastic siding trimming
- plastic moulding
- plastic bags (not agricultural)
- polyethylene sheeting
The classification of inert material may be revised periodically in order to ensure compliance with the Alberta Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act
Agricultural Plastics - West Dried Meat Lake Regional Landfill will no longer be accepting Agricultural Plastics (silage covers, grain bags, plastic twine) co-mingled with Municipal Solid Waste. Clean, separated and wrapped Agricultural plastics may be delivered to the Landfill for disposal and recycling. Recycling Bins are on site to accept cardboard, officer paper, clear glass, tin cans and newspapers.
